Sorry in advance for this being a bit long. My ex and I were together for about 3 months and we were both really happy during that time. Hi, I’m currently going through the painful process of a messy breakup. Hi, my boyfriend and I had a breakup since 2 months. The reason is quite complicated as even I, myself has doubts on that whether I made a mistake or is this just a misunderstanding. Spend more time on yourself for now, because she probably felt your intention when you reached out and isn't ready to face you yet. Work on understanding yourself better and making positive changes in your life that would help with the depression and mood, so that you won't end up contributing toxic behavior if you ever get a third chance with her, or even if you end up with someone else down the road.
It's unlikely that given the length of the relationship, she would move on so quickly. Use this time to give her space while working on making those changes that would not only improve her views of you but also yourself as a person. You’re letting him know that things have come to this, a turning point. Either you’re going to stay friends (without benefits!) or you’re going to get back together. But he has to know that it’s not going to work both ways. You’re not going to “wait for him” and sit idly by as time moves on. You should move on and if he really wants you in his life, he will initiate contact and let you know that he misses you.
